A woman has been arrested after gaining access to Prince George’s school in London.

That was a royal mistake.

According to the Metropolitan Police Service, a 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary after gaining access to Thomas' Battersea School on Tuesday.

Prince George is one of more than 500 students who attend the posh private school.

The incident occurred at 2:15 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Service said.

The Metropolitan Police Service has said they are "working with the school" to enhance security measures at the facility in the future.

"Police are part of the protective security arrangements for the Prince and we will continue to work closely with the school, which is responsible for building the security on its site," the statement read.

His mother, Duchess Kate of Cambridge, was forced to stay behind as she's currently pregnant with her third child and is suffering from severe morning sickness.

Kensington Palace shared photos of the young royal arriving for his big day, shaking hands with Helen Haslem, head of the lower school, upon arrival.

The Palace also informed fans of the royal family that Prince George will follow in the footsteps of his father the Duke of Cambridge and uncle Prince Harry, who went by the last name Wales in school.

Prince George will be known to his classmates as "George Cambridge."

It's unclear whether Prince George and his classmates were at school when police arrested the woman in question.

Her name has yet to be released.
